With the futuristic approach towards present and future in Green energy

The Bright Alternative

Solar energy is the gateway to our future for generating renewable energy. Every second, the sun produces enough energy to sustain Earth's needs for 500,000 years.

Integrating the ability to harness this power within society will make us stronger. With depleting conventional energy sources, alarming pollution levels and mounting costs of electricity, whether you want to cut down on costs or do your part to preserve the environment, solar is the way to go.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our Contribution to a Better World

Our planet is on the brink of an energy meltdown. The ever escalating rate of energy consumption has put a tremendous pressure on the conventional resources and they are already lagging far behind and struggling hard to keep up.

The only competent answer to this crisis is a non-polluting unconventional resource that is abundantly available. With a virtually unlimited and globally distributed supply of energy and zero polluting effects, the Sun makes for a very attractive alternative energy resource.

Solar Energy is the Genesis of all the forms of energy on Earth. We can utilise this energy using two methods. The thermal approach, where heat is used for drying, heating, cooking and generation of electricity or via the Photovoltaic approach, which converts Solar Energy into electricity that can be used for a myriad of purposes such as lighting, pumping and generation of electricity. In addition to these major benefits, there are numerous advantages that motivate us in going solar.

Renewable

Solar panels produce electricity by transforming the continuous flow of energy from the sun to electricity making the most of this complimentary and constant supply of sunlight to generate energy is the most sensible way ahead.

Emission Free

No harmful emissions are released into the air when electricity is produced by solar panels. Switching to zero emission Solar Power ensures that our atmosphere and our deteriorating ozone layer are well taken care of.

Eco-Friendly

A standard residential Solar Panel system will trim down three to four tons of carbon emissions each year. That is equivalent to planting over 100 trees annually. Good for the planet while also being good for the pocket. It’s a win-win situation for all.

Reduce Electric Bills

Solar Energy ensures a sharp decrease in the electricity bills or in some cases, no electricity bills at all. In fact, consumers that generate excess energy can even earn money by selling it to power companies. This can result in considerable reduction in the monthly expenditure and have a positive impact on monthly budgets and cash flows.

Environmentally Friendly

According to the WHO, ambient and household air pollution causes an approximate 7 million deaths every year. This is more than 8% of the total deaths worldwide. Add to it another 1 million animals and birds, and we are staring at an alarming environmental situation. Tapping a non- polluting energy source like the sun is a blessing in disguise for every living being on the planet.

Government Benefits

In an effort to reduce their country’s carbon footprints, governments are encouraging its citizens to switch to Solar Power. Users of Solar Energy are offered a combination of tax benefits, incentives, subsidies and bonuses by the government in most of the countries across the world.

Process Of Solar Energy Generation

Solar panels absorb the sun’s energy and convert it to Direct Current (DC) electricity. However, DC electricity is unable to power a home or workplace on its own.

A Solar Inverter converts DC electricity generated by the solar modules to Alternating Current (AC) electricity, which is required by most appliances.

AC electricity flows through the home or workplace, thus powering electronic devices.

Excess electricity produced by the solar panels is supplied to the electric grid or batteries for future use.

On Grid System

An On-Grid Solar Installation is attached to the nearest Power Grid and enables the transfer of electricity to and from the power grid as required. If the Solar Power generated is higher than the electricity consumed, the excess electricity is fed into the power grid. If there is a shortage of solar power, electricity from the power grid is utilized automatically. This process is carried our seamlessly without any hassle to the users.

A Solar Meter is a two way meter that measures the difference between the electricity supplied into the grid and consumed from the gird. At the end of the billing cycle; users either get an energy credit or an electricity bill for a miniscule amount according to their power usage. This practice is known as ‘Net Metering’.

On Grid or

Grid Interactive

The On-Grid Installation is a practical option in most urban areas where there is a close proximity to power grids. This system is also advantageous to properties that cannot generate solar power equivalent to their consumption, but wish to do their bit for the environment. The Solar Power generated in-house is utilized first and the shortfall is consumed from the power grid.

The On-Grid system is beneficial in generating a passive income for larger properties that have the ability to produce an abundant amount of solar power but would not be consuming it completely.

An On-Grid Installation is also the most economical option due to the minimal components required for installation, and more so, if the property is already connected with a power grid.

OFF Grid System

An Off-Grid Installation is a standalone system that is completely detached from the electric power grid. Since this system is not connected to any other source of power, battery backup is a crucial part of the installation for storing the excess electricity produced during day time and making it available during nights and cloudy days. This ensures an uninterrupted supply of electricity throughout the day.

Generally, an electric generator is added as a stand by measure in case of excessive power demands or to handle a constant slack in power generation like during winter or monsoon. The generator can also be utilised for power storage in times of excessive power generation like during summer or non-occupancy days.

Off Grid or Captive

Off-Grid Installations are ideal for far off remote properties that have no access to the power grid. This system is also beneficial in areas with frequent power cuts, temporary structures, boats, etc.

Captive Installations are huge off-grid power plants set up by corporate or big housing societies that have high levels of energy consumption. Commercial or Industrial units set up captive power plants that are large scale power generators and are a localised and dedicated source of energy for the user.

HYBRID System

A Hybrid Installation is attached to a power grid as well as a battery backup. Hence, a Hybrid system picks up the best of both worlds by combining the benefits of both, the On-Gird and Off-Gird systems.

Excess Solar Energy produced is first stored into the battery backup and the balance is transferred to the power grid. Therefore, users of the Hybrid system have the ability to earn energy points by feeding excess power into the grid or draw from the power grid during power shortages. But in case of power cuts, they get the flexibility to switch to battery backup and ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity throughout the day and throughout the year.

Installation

Hybrid Systems are installed in areas that have an access to power grids but witness many power cuts throughout the year.
